Loshitskiy park and a part of the Svisloch river

Photo — X-samplePhoto — X-sample

The territory is situated in the south of Minsk and covers an area of more than 100 hectares. The main part of the park is the estate and park complex. More than 400 species of plants grow here. On the eastern edge flows the river Svisloch. The main features of this part of the river are almost untouched areas of the floodplain: alder wood, forb meadows, oxbow lakes and islands, reeds and cattails. The surrounding landscape is amazingly beautiful. An amazing perspective opens from the uplands — green meadows, meandering river bluffs and lowlands with swampy thickets with reeds. In the southern part there is a small reservoir on the river Loshitsa.

Due to represented habitats fauna of the territory is among the richest in Minsk. More than 100 species of birds can be seen here, though many of them are observed rarely or sporadically.
