In spring 2003, an international agreement under the UN Convention on Migratory Species (Bonn Convention, CMS) was signed by nearly all range states in Europe and Africa in order to conserve Europe’s most threatened song bird, the Aquatic Warbler, and its habitat. You will work together with CMS Secretariat to coordinate implementation of this agreement, you will coordinate and initiate national and international activities and projects. You will keep close contact with the national focal points, a team of scientists and BirdLife, as well as the CMS secretariat. You will need to have enthusiasm for conservation and very good communication and negotiation skills. You need to be fluent in English and have experience in financial and project management. You should be prepared for intensive travel abroad and ideally bring a solid ecological understanding with you. For more detailed information see Job description.
